Biography
Menno Mulder (Woerden 1972) is an autonomous contemporary artist who is best know for his bold and iconic colour work. The young Menno would draw and paint well before he could write. He now makes paintings, graphic design, 3d sculptures and prints. Not afraid to show some positive provocation in his vibrant work. Visual storytelling about future dreams an aspirations. He graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of fine Arts in The Hague in 1996, specialized in graphic design en typography.
Menno lives in Monster and works out of Rotterdam, Netherlands, but frequently works on international projects, both private and commercial.
Work in ‘series’
Just like a diary, one piece of paper isn’t most of the time enough to tell the whole story. Menno obsessed of visual storytelling, tries to create the medium that allows him to explore it. Working in a serie of fifty art pieces forces him to think in stories in stead of single item poetry.
Simply focus on what feels good for you and what worked out the best! It’s also the process in all dimentions, that makes the album of fifty ‘soulful’ art tracks. Catching that moment, keep the focus and accelerating if it’s your time! But the most beautiful of art series is that they can grow separartely without growing apart!
